The Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD), also called catharometer, is a widely used detector for gas chromatography because it is sensitive, versatile and nondestructive to the sample and has a relative large linear range. TCDs are used intensively in both portable and stationary instruments.
With the increased use of fast GC the needs on speed, sensitivity, low power consumption, low dead volume, low internal volume etc also put strong requirements on the existing and future TCDs as well as the needed Detector Controllers.
The TCD-CU1 is a universal TCD-controller that has several unique features that result in very low detection levels (LDL/MDQ) while reducing the TCD-costs with up to 50%! The features include a novel and registered Mirrored Half Bridge (MHB) principle, full AutoZero and a high performance processing engine capable of processing and buffering multiple chromatograms. |
