Our FIDCU-2 is a high-performance universal FID controller (electrometer) that can be used for most current sensing GC detectors, like Flame Ionization Detector (FID), Photo Ionization Detector (PID), Pulsed Discharge Detector (PDD) and most other ionization and photo detectors.
The FID is one of the most frequently used GC detectors in the analytical laboratory. The dynamic range of 9 orders of magnitude is one of its specific advantages. Detector signals can range from as little as a few fA (10-15 A) up to a µA (10-6 A).
To harness this wide range and these tiny currents is a challenge that was successfully mastered by Applied Instruments. Our FID interfaces exceed these requirements due to their design but also because of the special aging and calibration procedures our FID interfaces are undergoing in our production facilities. |
